Organized Crime: Organized Retail Theft

Dallas man indicted for organized crime of Organized Retail Theft, felony, for selling allegedly stolen goods–cigarettes– at a convenience store where he worked as a cashier. Jurors found not guilty.

Tulsa Police Officer indicted in federal court for 58 counts (or crimes) relating to public corruption including:

As part of the defense team, at trial Ms. Knox cross-examined the lead government witness, among other responsibilities. Attacking the credibility of this witness was vital to the defense of the police officer because the witness’ statements were material to more than 35 counts in the indictment. After a federal jury trial, the officer was found guilty of six felony perjury counts and two misdemeanor conspiracy to violate civil rights counts only.

Result: NOT GUILTY or DISMISSED on 50 counts.
